Tele2 appoints Mats Granryd as the CEO
www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Mats Granryd has been appointed as president and CEO of Tele2 by the telco’s board of directors. His service will be effective from September 1. Earlier, North West Europe, India, CDMA and North Africa units and the global customer accounts for Vodafone and Bharti has been looked after by him.
Tele2′s CFO Lars Nillsson has been serving as interim CEO since February. Mats Granryd will replace CEO Harri Koponen who left the company due to “irreconcilable differences over leadership” of the group.
He was a management consultant in telecom strategies at Arrigo and Andersen before joining Ericsson. Granryd holds an MSc from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm
