UK newspaper The Times has linked Deutsche Telekom and France Telecom as potential buyers. 3 Italia is one of four cellular network operators in Italy and is Europe’s largest 3G operator, with more than 7.7 million subscribers. The company has been valued at between EUR8 billion and EUR10 billion (USD11-14 billion).
