Aircel launches Facebook Voice update service (India)

Aircel has announced a new service for their subscribers that will let the user post Facebook status updates on their profile using their voice. The service is called Facebook Voice Updates on Aircel was launched by the telecom service provider today.

To use the service, the user will have to use a short code first to record update and then post it on Facebook. Following this, the user’s friends will receive a message notifying them of the status update to which they can reply again using their voice.

For the time being, this service only seems available to Aircel users although they expect Facebook to tie up with other telecom operators to offer similar, if not the same, service.
