Samsung in Display Deal with Nokia
According to new reports, Samsung has signed a deal to start supplying liquid crystal display (LCD) screens to Nokia, as early as the second half of this year. The Electronic Times, citing an unidentified Samsung official, said the company expects to initially provide more than 20 million units a year.
Last year, Samsung sold 92 million small-sized LCDs. Currently Nokia buys its LCDs from Sharp as well as other manufacturers.
