Polish cable TV operator Multimedia Polska plans to introduce WiMAX mobile access technology and to invest PLN 12 million in the service in 2007-2008. The company currently has 9,000 subscribers who use the radio service. The company also hopes to acquire new customers thanks to the new technology. The company aims to expand its wireless coverage by several dozen thousand households in Central and Eastern Poland. Multimedia Polska signed a PLN 8 million agreement with US firm Airspan Networks for the delivery of WiMAX infrastructure.
