CEO leaves Everything Everywhere due to personal reasons (UK)

The holding company of Orange and T-Mobile in the UK, Everything Everywhere announced the departure of its CEO, Tom Alexander. Personal reasons, in addition to pursuing other interests have been cited, in the wake of his resignation. As his replacement, Olaf Swantee has been named by the company and is expected to resume duties beginning September.

A graduate in Economics and a MBA from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris – École des Affaires de Paris, Olaf Swantee currently holds the position of Executive Vice President, Operations at France Telecom in Europe (except France) and Sourcing.

Tom Alexander had taken over Orange as its CEO for the UK business ventures in 2008. Eventually, he was appointed as the CEO of Everything Everywhere – the company was established as a result of the Orange UK and T-Mobile UK merger as on 1st July 2010.

According to Tim Höttges, Chairman of Everything Everywhere’s Board and Chief Financial Officer of Deutsche Telekom, Olaf Swantee has a deep knowledge of Everything Everywhere’s business, and has been a director on the Board of the company since its very beginning, and is ideally placed to provide both continuity and progression.
