Italian mobile telephony operator 3 Italia has surpassed the threshold of 600,000 subscribers for its mobile TV DVB-H service, launched in July 2006 during the soccer World Cup in Germany. 3 TV currently offers 12 mobile digital channels including Sky Sport, Sky TG24, Sky Cinema, Sky Vivo, Rai Uno, Rai Due, Mediaset, Boing, La 3 Live, La 3 Sport, as well as six digital channels dedicated to soccer. The service is protected with the Nagra Mobile solution from Nagravision, based on the open standard Open Framework´s DVD.
