 Kosovan government moves on with PTK’s privatisation (Kosovo)

The Kosovan government decides to privatise PTK for an estimate price of EUR700-EUR800 million. An inter-ministerial commission will, reportedly, be formed to select an international consulting firm which will suggest how to best involve the private sector.

   

 Magyar Telekom shows keen interest in Telekom Slovenije (Hungary)

Magyar Telekom says that is still has a keen interest in purchasing Telekom Slovenije. Magyar Telekom Chairman and Chief Executive Christopher Mattheisen said, “In case of Telekom Slovenia, a lot depends on the price. We’re still keen on Telekom Slovenia but not at any price”.
He also added that the operator, in order to expand, is looking for acquisitions in markets like Ukraine, Kosovo, and Bosnia.

   

 Four bid for wireless licence

Telegeography writes…According to local press reports, four companies have entered the bidding for the second Kosovan wireless licence: Austria’s Mobilkom, Kosmocell, Team Kosova and Telekom Slovenije’s IpkoNet. A bid by IWH International of Germany was disqualified because it was submitted after the deadline. The bids will now be scrutinised by a bid evaluation committee, made up of representatives from the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA), the government and the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK).
