Legend Mobile is planning to enter the market for iPhone software. Male audience will be going to be the target for initial products. For iPhone and iPod touch, Legend is in negotiation with motor sports brand and sports athletes to use their trade marks on various software products. iPod touch and iPhone offers new experience through the use of their touch screen, multiple sensors, and advanced graphics. Legend intends to develop a portfolio of branded applications using world recognized brands based on these new features. Industry reports reveals that iPhone users have downloaded more than 60 million applications since the App Store opened in July. Prices for applications range from free to $9.99. No free applications will be offered by Legend in its first set of products.

The Wall Street Journal has launched a wireless application for RIM’s BlackBerry.
The application, WSJ.com Mobile Reader, is a free of cost application wherein the user can view headlines and articles as well.
The content can be customized based on various criteria like category lists, keywords. Users can also track specific companies, getting headlines and stock quotes, but the delay can be of nearly 30 minutes.
The content provided on WSJ.com Mobile Reader, will be from The Wall Street Journal Digital Network, MarketWatch.com, Barrons.com and AllThingsD.com. The application will be free of charge, but eventually some content will be exclusive only to the paid subscribers. The users can also take content from other sources as well.
WSJ also plans to show ads from an unamed advertiser from next month.
Sprint brings football to mobile phones via NFL Mobile Live (USA)

Sprint, USA, and the National Football League together have announced the launch of NFL Mobile Live, a new application for that provides the subscribers with wireless access to live radio broadcasts of all 2008 regular season games as well as all eight Thursday Night Football matchups broadcast via cable television’s NFL Network.
Each time the subscriber accesses the application, he/she will be able to view their favorite team’s information onscreen, eliminating clicks by pushing the latest franchise updates and quick links to upcoming live broadcasts.
NFL Mobile Live also enables NFL.com fantasy owners to monitor the performance of every player in real time, delivering game and season cumulative stats, rankings, player profiles, photos and video highlights.
Additionally, the application will also offer live access to NFL Network non-game programming like training camp reports and team previews as well as series including NFL Total Access, NFL GameDay and NFL Playbook.
NFL Mobile Live is part of Sprint’s Simply Everything flat-rate package and subscribers may also add Data Packs starting at $15 per month.
