QTel celebrates Ramzan by launching Hadith portal (Qatar)

QTel launched another service to lure its customers during Ramzan. It has instigated a special portal for users to download the contents from an Islamic library of readings and Hadith (oral traditions) via its Mozaic MOB service. During Ramzan, QR 2 per transaction will be charged for the Islamic content. The Mozaic Mobile Portal is a bi-lingual (English and Arabic) dedicated mobile entertainment site accessible by mobile phone (via WAP) or PC / laptop (via the Web). Digital content includes readings from:

  • Holy Quran
  • Hadith (oral traditions)
  • Anasheed (Islamic vocal music)
  • Ramzan and Eid greetings

The site even includes video content, including extracts by the noted Islamic preacher, Amr Khaled.

Zain Kenya customers enjoys Ramzan with inspirational quotes!

Zain is looking forward to become  a world-class mobile service provider. In a move to accompalish the goal, Zain has launched a specialized offer for Muslim holy month of Ramzan. Throughout September, Zain Kenya customers will be able to receive  inspirational quotes from the Koran via SMS. Customers can avail this service by sending a text message with the word “Ramadhan” to 786 for a one-off fee of 100 Kenyan shillings. “In the spirit of supporting and showing solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters, we will offer this special service throughout the fasting period,” said Rene Meza, Zain Kenya managing director. Zain will also donate food through some of the country’s mosques during the breaking of the fast, Meza added.

Qtel gifts low tariffs to its subscribers for the holy month of Ramzan (Qatar)

Ramzan begins, another occasion for mobile operators to lure their customers. For the holy month of Ramzan, Qatar Telecom has sliced rates for local voice and video calls by 50 percent from 9pm till 6am every day of the sacred month. This offer is applicable to all mobile postpaid, Hala Prepaid and landline customers. On top of it, Qtel is providing its customers a range of special services and initiatives for Ramzan. The company has already extended its ‘Prayer Timing Alert’ service, which sends subscribers an automatic reminder of the specific prayer timing for each day. Throughout Ramzan, Qtel is making use of its multimedia services to provide subscribers with religious content.
