m-Wise (Mobile Content technology provider) is in agreement with Universal Motown Records’ Cash Money subsidiary to start a mobile fan club subscription service.

Cash Money Mobile delivers mobile content like

  • Ringtones
  • Graphics
  • Video Clips
  • Text alerts

Various through which the services will be offered includes

  • On-deck portal
  • A web portal
  • Text messages

Carriers include (who have already signed up)

  • AT&T
  • Verizon Wireless
  • Sprint
  • T-Mobile USA
  • Alltel

 Motorola’s market share falls as it fails to release new handsets (US)

Motorola phones which once ruled the market and were clamored by AT&T for exclusive rights to sell the best - seller Razr and this has taken only one Motorola phone Z9slider this year.

Motorola’s underscores at AT&T due to it’s persistent failure to release handsets that grab the attention of consumers and the service providers whose marketing is crucial to sales. Motorola’s lack of producing new  phones has lead to a depression in it’s market share, which threatens plans to spin off the handset division.

 DT denies plans for US sell-off

Deutsche Telekom (DT) has denied reports which suggest it is considering the sale of its US wireless arm T-Mobile USA. Press reports have claimed that private equity firm Blackstone, which is a 4.5% shareholder in the German telco, wants DT to offload its US operations. Rival wireless operator Alltel has just been sold to equity firms TPG Capital and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners(GSCP) for a total of USD27.5 billion. T-Mobile USA is the country’s fourth largest cellular operator, with 26 million subscribers at the end of March.
