 Jazztel reports a 6% growth in revenues of Q2′08 (Spain)

Jazz Telecom (Jazztel), Spain, has released its results of Q2′08, reporting 6% growth in revenues for the quarter year-on-year. Revenues grew to USD123.6 million (EUR77.8 million ), but the company still made a loss of USD 38.92 million (EUR24.7 million).

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) fell 28% to USD 472,761 (EUR300,000).

The company has announced it is aiming to claim a 5.5% share of Spain’s broadband market by 2010 and according to a database the telco is currently fifth-placed in the market, behind Orange Espana and Telefonica de Espana. Jazztel has also recently expanded its services, launching an MVNO mobile service in June 2008, piggybacking on Orange’s network.
