The luxury brand in mobile phones, Vertu is planning to make it’s mark in India and is in talks with DLF, the country’s largest real estate company, to open up it’s first and exclusive store in India.

These luxury phones which are priced from Rs 3.57 lakh to as much as Rs 1.62 crore, are presently being sold in the country through luxury watch and jewellery stores in about eight cities, mostly through luxury hotels.

DLF executive director Rajiv Talwar has declined to confirm the talks with Vertu, saying: “An enquiry might have come which we cannot confirm at the moment. But DLF Emporio mall in Delhi will be the ideal location for the high-end luxury phone brand. Other luxury retail players have already started moving in the mall which will be up and running by next year.”

The Vertu buyers get a free one-year concierge service, Vertu Concierge, now available in India too, by which they can order any product at any time in any part of the world, free of (service) charge. The concierge service is free for a year, and comes with £950 yearly fee thereafter.
