Celcom, the Malaysian telco is expected to see revenues take a leap by MYR6 billion (USD1.74 billion) in 2008. Celcom’s Enterprise Services Senior Vice-President, Farid Yunis, reveals the targets with the launch of BlackBerry Bold and states that, ‘We currently have the widest network coverage covering 98% of the populated areas in the country, as well as having the widest 2G, 3G and 3.5G coverage.’
Whereas the H1′08 financial results show a 23% rise in total revenues year-on-year, to MYR2.4 billion (USD696.3 million).
