Vodafone Qatar anticipates 10,000 subscribers by July’09

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Vodafone Qatar, the Qatari operations of Vodafone Group, anticipates to have a subscriber base of 10,000 in the country by July’09 and also plans to expand in Gulf Region. “If we are successful (in our endeavour), we will expand it into the region,” Grahame Maher, Chief Executive said.
Asked if Vodafone Qatar was concerned about competition from Qtel, Maher said, “Competition here is easy because of the continuous change and turnover in the number of inhabitants.”
