Deutsche Telekom unveiled new pricing for its mobile and triple-play services in Germany at the IFA trade show in Berlin, including expanded access to its IPTV service. From October T-Mobile customers will be able to select five friends and family members they can call for EUR 0.05 per minute with the new offer MyFaves. Already available in the US, MyFaves will also be rolled out to other European markets. T-Mobile has also revamped its web’n'walk portal, allowing users to personalise the home page with customisable buttons and direct access to e-mails and web pages. The operator unveiled a range of new handsets at the fair as well, including phones with HSDPA up to 3.6 Mbps and MyFaves specials. For the T-Home service in Germany, the operator showcased its new IPTV packages Entertain Comfort, which expand the IPTV service to the ADSL2+ network. It was previously only available on VDSL in select cities. With Entertain Comfort, customers get internet access, a fixed line and TV service from EUR 59.95 per month. The operator is also offering the Bundesliga premium service free for three months to customers signing up to Entertain Comfort before the end of October. Another 20,000 customers will get a year’s subscription to the football service for free. Deutsche Telekom expects to make the TV service available to 17 million households in Germany by the end of the year, versus around 15 million currently.
