Sri Lanka’s largest cellco by subscribers, Dialog Telekom, has partnered digital mapping specialist IWS Geographical Information Systems to launch the country’s first voice-prompted mobile GPS navigation system. Dialog SatNav features a comprehensive digital street directory of Colombo and its suburbs as well as class A and B roads across the island. The application provides audio and visual prompts, and allows users to view maps in either 2D or 3D formats, and to pre-configure frequently used routes.
