 Digicel, Telemovil and Claro in running for Panama licence (El Salvador)

Digicel, Telemovil El Salvador and Claro will take part in bidding to offer new mobile services in Panama, reports local paper Prensa. The National Authority for Public Services confirmed that Caribbean operator Digicel, Milicom subsidiary Telemovil and America Movil’s Claro had made it to the next stage of bidding and would have to present offers by 3 April. The winning candidate to use the spectrum on offer will be announced on 14 April. A fourth company, Wirefree Services Panama, which is based in France, was rejected, said the authority.
