According to a recent market research, Egypt’s mobile market is likely to continue its rapid growth over the next two to three years. With the introduction of 3G services by a third operator in 2007 and mobile tariffs already among the lowest in the world, operators will seek to distinguish themselves from the competition by introducing new services, which will also accelerate the ongoing rapid growth of Internet and broadband market. There will be a shift towards wireless technologies, following the first successful WiMAX deployments in the country.
