*  Huawei Technologies secures a cdma2000 infrastructure agreement with Cricket Communications, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leap Wireless International. Huawei’s 3G CDMA technologies will support operations in Leap’s recently-acquired wireless services spectrum.

*  China Mobile releases a new line of customized cell phones under the brand Xinji, trying to cement its lead in the world’s largest mobile service market. A total of 13 mobile phone manufacturers, including Nokia and Motorola, have partnered with the mobile service operator.

*  BSNL signs a deal with Telenity to launched location-based services in India. Telenity’s location solution enabled BSNL to be the first operator to make the personalized value added location-based services available to mobile customers in India.
