 German Court to look in Siemens Scandal

OTE (Greek telephone company) requests German Court to force Siemen to diclose whether OTE employees were paid bribe to secure a huge contract . OTE wants German court to order Siemens to reveal details of an internal inquiry into its activities in Greece, with a view to eventually suing for damages, the report said.

Sueddeutsche Zeitung said that OTE had gone to the Munich court in the first legal action taken by a foreign company against Siemens over a slush fund the German firm has admitted operating. Investigation  of 1997 contract is going on by the Greek Prosecutors, which Siemens is suspected of securing by paying million of dollars to OTE executives. Report further added that, this scandal was in late 2006 which has quivered the group’s foundation.
