Google reported third-quarter revenues of USD 4.23 billion, up 57 percent from the year-earlier period. Revenues from its own sites grew 68 percent to USD 2.73 billion, while sales from its AdSense service on other sites increased 40 percent to USD 1.45 billion. Revenues from outside the US totalled 2.03 billion, including USD 661 million from the UK alone. Operating profit rose to USD 1.32 billion from USD 1.10 billion a year ago, and net profit grew to USD 1.07 billion from USD 925 million. Traffic acquisition costs, the portion of revenues shared with Google’s partners, increased to USD 1.22 billion from USD 1.15 billion a year earlier. Google generated free cash flow of USD 1.08 billion in the quarter and spent USD 553 million on capex. It finished September with cash of USD 13.1 billion.
