Gracenote acquires Musicphone technology platform (USA)Digital entertainment services provider Gracenote has acquired the Musicphone technology platform for consumers to identify songs they hear. The Musicphone technology enhances Gracenote’s Mobile Music 2.0 mobile media platform and extends its customer base to include AT&T and Virgin Mobile USA. Using a short code to dial into an IVR service, almost any mobile phone can transmit a clip of music to be identified by the Gracenote Mobile MusicID service.
