USA’s Leap Wireless launches it’s mobile services in Georgia, under the name of Cricket Wireless. The Cricket’s network now reaches to 62.3 million people across USA. The Savannah launched is followed by Leap’s acquisition of Hargray Communications.
Doug Hutcheson, president and chief executive officer of Leap, says ‘This launch is another step toward our goal of doubling the size of our Cricket business by the end of 2010, and it continues to expand our presence along the eastern seaboard, which will ultimately reach from Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., through the Carolinas and Georgia.’
