Majan Telecom, Oman, is planning to shift to a new arena of competition as of five new mobile service resellers.
This year June Oman’s Telecom Regulatory Authority had granted five Class II licenses to companies as resellers of basic mobile services in the Sultanate to boost demand by targeting new subscriber segments.
“We will target segments that are under-penetrated or under-served in the market and focus on differentiated service to meet their needs,” said Niklas Nielsen, Majan Telecom’s CEO.
“In doing so, our host operator can focus on strengthening their position on their own core target market and enhancing their infrastructure while gaining additional revenue and traffic. This will ultimately create a win-win situation for the host operator, the reseller and the customers.”
With the five year renewable licence the mobile reseller will aim to become the best alternative communications provider in the region.
