German Mobile TV operator Mobile 3.0 is to shut down, claims Broadband TV News citing a report in the online edition of Handelsblatt. The company was awarded a nationwide licence for the provision of DVB-H services earlier this year. .

Earlier this year, the company was awarded with a nationwide licence for the provision of DVB-H services. The firm will cease operations, as subscriber take-up has been low due to a lack of handsets on sale equipped for DVB-H reception.
