According to the Taiwan’s handset industry reports, Motorola to speed up it’s outsourcing of 3.5G handsets by teaming up with Foxconn International Holdings/Chi Mei Communication Systems for the ODM production of 3.5G handsets for 2009.

FIH/CMCS will be utlizing Qualcomm chipsets in the production of 3.5G handsets for Motorola, sources reveal.

The order came after Motorola already placed ODM 3.5G handset orders with Taiwan-based Qisda and Compal Communications, said the sources, noting that Qisda will start shipping 3.5G handsets to Motorola in September and Compal will follow suit in the Q4′08.
