Moviltel signs up 11 million subscribers by June 2008 (Venezuela)Movilnet, the state - run mobile network operator, announced that the company signed up a total of eleven million subscribers by June end 2008.
Jaqueline Faría also said ”during the first six months of this year Movilnet increased its total number of call minutes on its network by a third, attributing this growth to tariff cuts introduced since the re-nationalisation of parent telco CANTV in May 2007.”
The company, unofficially, claims that its market share by subscribers reached 44.4% at the mid-point of this year.
