 Movistar, Banco Frances launch banking service in Argentina

Movistar and Banco Frances launches a mobile banking service in Argentina. The service will allow customers to make payments, transfers and other banking operations from their mobiles. Customers will be able to receive a text message offering information about their bank accounts and the latest movements; alerts about credit card expiry dates; and information about rejected cheques. Customers will be able to make bank transfers to third parties, by sending an SMS from their phones.
