Samsung Wave 723 and Wave 2 Pro to hit Europe soon

Samsung is geared up to launch two of the next Bada-driven Samsung smartphones, the S7230E Wave 723 and the S5330 Wave 2 Pro, in Spain and most likely in much more countries across Europe and the globe.

Wave 723 and Wave 2 Pro models feature a 3.2 inch touchscreen and the slightly lower-spec Wave 2 Pro mobile phone is claimed to be on sale in Europe for US$326.95 while the Wave 723 will cost US$381.67.

Apart from a flashy screen the phone also features 3MP camera, a microSD memory card slot, an inbuilt GPS receiver, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. If talked about connectivity, the phone comes with 2G supports.

According to Simon Stanford, Head of Samsung Mobile UK & Ireland, the launch of this device clearly underlines company’s commitment to smartphone products on different platforms and forms part of the company’s strategy to deliver a wide range of handsets designed to suit a multitude of users.

Samsung gravity to come to Fido on March 16

The Samsung Gravity is expected to come to Fido on March 16 this year. Priced at a measly $25 on a 2-year contract, the official date of the launch has not been disclosed as yet. However the off-contract price tag can vary later. As Rogers originally launched the Gravity on their main network just over a year ago, the move to Fido would be sensible for it.

Most of the time big daddy Rogers will pass select devices down to his dog ‘Fido’ to make an end-of-life run at a discounted price. The few prominent features of the phone include 1.3mp camera with Bluetooth, Bluetooth, QWERTY keyboard and build-in MP3 player.

Find the colors of the ocean in ‘Ascent Ti Neon’

Here comes a mobile phone, inspired by the colours of the ocean. We are talking about the new Ascent Ti Neon that comes with rubber on the back instead of the leather of the regular Ascent Ti, in a choice of four colours: green, orange, pink and white. What makes the phone so expensive could be attributed to its titanium chassis.

Providing a talk time of 4.5 hours (GSM) and a standby time of around 400 hours, the phone supports the quad band GSM coverage and WCDMA2100 throughout the world.

Ascent Ti Neon has a QVGA display, 4GB of internal memory, 3MP camera and supports Bluetooth interface.

Not to forget to mention, the phone comes with a high performance hands free loudspeaker.

The phone will go on sale in October and will cost nearly $9,900.

T-Mobile adds Motorola KRZR and Samsung E870 Champagne to its range

T-Mobile has added to its range of chic handsets with the arrival of the Motorola MOTOKRZR K1 and the Samsung E870 Champagne.

The KRZR is the successor to the V3 range of fashion phones, and is styled similarly with a slimmer body and a deep blue glass-reflective casing. T-Mobile is offering the set with web’n'walk compatibility.

Features include a 2Mp camera with 8x digital zoom, video capture, and an MP3 player. A memory slot ensures you can store plenty of media, both recorded by the device or obtained elsewhere, and the built-in MP3 player has the ability to continue playing music even when the phone is switched off in Airplane mode.

The KRZR costs from free to £300 on pay-as-you-go.

Also added to T-Mobile’s range today is the Samsung E870 Champagne, which adds a touch of bling to the proceedings. The clamshell conceals a 1.3Mp camera and MP3 player, as well as 80MB of internal memory expandable with an external card slot.

The E870 is also available in muted white tones, and comes with a stereo headset for listening to music privately or making hands-free calls; it’s available from free to £200, depending on calling plan.
