Acer launches 5 Android smartphones in India
www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Acer, the personal computer vendor, has reportedly announced the launch 5 new Android based smartphones in the Indian mobile market. The firm also plans to introduce more handset in the industry, starting from Rs. 16,000.
Acer said that Android is a complete and open mobile phone software stack, featuring an operating system, middleware and key mobile applications and includes everything a manufacturer or operator needs to build a mobile phone.
The handsets are:
- DX900 – offers a dual-SIM function
- DX650 – offers user-interface convenience to new levels with a dual-face design, featuring a touchscreen on one side and keypad on the other.
- ACER X960 - a compact and sleek handset to offer multiple features without having to carry several devices
- ACER F900 – specifically designed for web browsing on the go, easy-to-use touch keyboard and is able to display more information on screen to offer a superior browsing experience
- ACER M900 – specifically designed for web browsing on the go, allows access to all contacts and files through synchronization with a notebook or desktop computer
The Acer devices will be priced at between Rs. 24,000 and Rs. 35,000.
