www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Vodafone and Orange have joined the league of T-Mobile and O2 as it allows subscribers to access their networks to use mobile phones on aeroplanes.
The operators had earlier refuses to offer these services as they feared the affect of high charges on subscribers. The operators will now reportedly allow subscribers to use the OnAir system ‘within weeks’.
Calls from aeroplanes cost £2.50 a minute and networks feared that their subscribers could suffer from ‘bill shock’ from the high costs.
