Benin Telecoms seeks international partners as new investors

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Government of Benin has reportedly appointed a group of companies, including Africabourse, to advise it on opening Benin Telecoms to new investors.

Africabourse’s CEO reportedly said, the company will assist the government in analysing options and strategies to open up the operator’s capital. The group will also assess the expectations of potential investors.

The task includes a diagnostic phase, setting out the financial, technical and legal status of Benin Telecoms. Followed to this is the formulation of strategic propositions to the government to ensure that the process unfolds effectively. Ultimately, the approach is selected by the government will have to be executed. According to an executive, the target is due to be accomplished by the end of 2009, and through international tender partners will be chosen.
