Vodafone will sell Apple iPad 2 (UK)
Vodafone has confirmed that it will be selling the iPad 2 after putting product page online and inviting interested parties to register for update without giving out any details regarding the release date.
Unlike some of its competitors, Vodafone has completely stopped selling the original iPad although it sells the MicroSIM on contract. All the major mobile operators – with the notable exception of O2 – have now confirmed that they will sell the 3G version of the device; iPad 2 will be launched in the UK from Friday, 25th March and will carry a price tag of US$692.06 ( £429).
According to 3 UK, it would sell dedicated versions of the iPad 2 which may mean that it will introduce some interesting packages including an all-you-can-eat data one (like the US$40.33 (£25) The One) which would set 3 UK apart from the competition.
HTC grabs the top slots at the UK smartphone sale charts
HTC has overtaken Apple in the British smartphone market as smartphones available on ‘free phone’ put the squeeze on iPhone.
According to a website, HTC handsets make up the top three smartphones in the UK, namely the Android based HTC Desire, HTC Wildfire and HTC Desire HD.
The website also shows that Android-operated handsets continue to tighten their stranglehold on the mobile market, with 50% of the most popular mobiles now running on the Google-owned operating system. Also, following a more consumer-focused Christmas push and some enticing pre-pay deals, the Blackberry Curve has moved up to fourth position in the charts. Meanwhile, supported by free handset deals starting from £20 a month, Samsung’s Galaxy S has moved into fifth place.

March Madness to stream to iPhone over 3G
Cheer up! You will now be able to get you March Mardeness fixed on your iPhone over WiFi and 3G and the good news is that unlike last year’s version, it won’t require a WiFi connection to stream live games. So, say goodbye to the boss buttonâ€.
The $10app will also include push notification of score, radio broadcasts, social media integration, interactive brackets and a host of other statistics. There will be video highlights in the Lite†version and it will come for free. A Blackberry version is also being expected, though it won’t have video.
According to the SVP and GM of CBS, Rob Gelick, the previous year their company was the first to do a live sporting event with the March Madness app and since then the appetite for video and live video has grown massively for them.
