Banco selects Telefonica to launch m-banking service for iPhone users (Spain)
The Spanish bank, Banco Popular Espanol selects Telefonica to provide web enabled mobile banking for iPhone 3G and iPod Touch users. This service will enable Telefonica subscribers to keep a check on their Banco bank accounts, send money, make purchases and block or activate cards via the internet. Telefonica designed a software application to adapt Banco Popular’s access systems, information and operations to the iPhone technology.
