Euroset valued at $2.7-$3.3 bln in IPO (Russia)

Euroset on the London stock exchange estimate the company is worth US$2.7-3.3 billion.

In early March the price was estimated higher, at US$ 3.6-4.9 billion. Alfa-Bank, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs and VTB Capital are preparing the IPO, in which Euroset plans to sell an up to 40 percent stake.

The chain owned 4,367 outlets at the end of 2010, of which 4,014 outlets in Russia, 275 in Ukraine and 78 in Belarus.

Peoplenet to launch new rates for international calls (Ukraine)

Peoplenet will launch new rates for international calls from 10 April.

Calls to fixed and mobile networks in Russia, Israel, Canada, China and the US will cost US$0.12 per minute.

Calls to mobile networks in Azerbaijan, Armenia and Moldova will be billed at US$0.25 per minute and calls to fixed networks in these countries at US$0.37 per minute.

Calls to Belarus cost US$0.25 and to the other CIS countries and Georgia, US$0.34 per minute. Calls to mobile networks of most European countries will be offered at US$0.60, while calls to fixed networks in Europe cost US$0.77 per minute.

Life:) Belarus offers free 3G modems

Mobile operator Life:) Belarus is offering a free 3G modem for subscribers to its 3G life:) Modem tariff.

The monthly subscription costs $6.24 for up to 7.2Mbps wireless broadband.

MTS Belarus expands retail chain

MTS Belarus has expanded its retail chain with the opening of three new retail outlets.

Branded retail outlets were launched in Minsk, Vitebsk and Bereza. The operator currently owns 48 branded retail outlets across the country, of which four were opened this year.

Life:) Belarus launches SMS banking

Life:) Belarus has launched SMS banking service for its subscribers holding bank cards issued by Belarusian bank BPS-Bank.

This service enables users to monitor balance of the bank card, repay credits, pay for utilities, telecommunications services and perform other transactions.

Each SMS costs US$0.03 under the service.

Life:) Belarus rises on-net pack prices

Life:) Belarus has raised the price of its Unlimited Calls To Life:) package from 13 April.

The operator offers unlimited calls within the network. The price rises from US$2.26-US$3.24

Velcom releases new business tariffs (Belarus)

Velcom has launched the new tariff dubbed ‘Business.Pro. Platinum tariff’ which focuses on VIP subscribers.

The tariff includes 200 minutes of international calls, 500 minutes of calls to all networks, 250MB of internet traffic, antivirus software, counter-number definition service, twin-card and SIM replacement if required.

 

Life:) Belarus introduces tariff for public employees

Life:) Belarus has launched a new tariff for public employees of state and municipal structures and establishments. Unlimited calls within the network are offered for US$958.20 per month.

Calls to other networks cost US$0.05 per minute, and SMS are billed at US$0.04 in the country and abroad.

 

 

MTS Belarus offers discounts on handsets with postpaid plans (Europe)

MTS Belarus has initiated an offer of pocket friendly handsets for subscribers under the ‘Easy With Us’ promotion.

Handsets which start at US$13.19 are offered for subscribers concluding subscription agreements for any of the five tariffs of the operator.

The company is offering Samsung E1081 or E1080 for US$23.11 when concluding an annual contract or for US$19.80 for a contract for 24 months. The Nokia 1280 costs US$16.50 and US$ 13.19 respectively.

 

MTS adds 105 million subscribers by February (Russia)

MTS has announced that it has consolidated a subscriber base of 104.11 million by the end of February, an increase of 6.5% year-on-year and 0.5% more than  in January.

In Russia, the subscriber base grew by 3.9% year-on-year and 0.5% month-on-month to 71.86 million. The number increased to 18.27 million in Ukraine, an increase of5.1% from a year earlier and 0.29% more than in January.

The subscribe base reached 9.11 million in Uzbekistan, which grew by 25% year-on-year and up by 1.1% month-on-month. The number totaled 2.39 million in Turkmenistan, or 31.2% more than February 2010 and a drop of 0.7% from the previous month. The subscriber base grew to 2.49 million in Armenia, an increase of 18.5%year-on-year and up by 0.1% month-on-month. In Belarus, MTS increased its base 4.3% year-on-year and by 0.2% from January.
