MTN BlackBerry Bold 9780 now in South Africa

MTN has launched BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphone on its network in South Africa.

The BlackBerry Bold 9780 features a keyboard and optical trackpad as well as the new BlackBerry 6 operating system. MTN will offer BlackBerry Bold 9780 in two colours-black and  white.

The phone supports 3G networks around the world, as well as Wi-Fi and GPS, and comes with a 5 megapixel camera, 512 MB Flash memory and an expandable memory card slot which supports up to 32 GB of additional storage. The BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphone is now available from all MTN-branded stores, as well as Nashua Mobile and Altech Autopage Cellular countrywide.

Vodafone UK to launch White BlackBerry Torch

BlackBerry Torch WhiteVodafone is planning to launch Blackberry’s latest handset on its network- The ‘White BlackBerry Torch’.

The device will be running on the BlackBerry 6 operating system, and features a 3.2-inch capacitive touch-screen with a resolution of 480 x 360 and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

The BlackBerry Torch white measures 4.37 x 2.44 x 0.57 inches, and is also equipped with a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, a 624MHz processor paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, a microSD slot supporting cards up to 32GB, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, GPS, and you will be able to enter the BlackBerry App World download store.

Vodafone and Optus are selling the BlackBerry Bold 9780 in Australia selling the mobile phone on plans starting at $59 per month.

Vodafone launches BlackBerry Torch in Malta

Vodafone Malta has officially announced the launch of BlackBerry Torch 9800, the first BlackBerry ever to feature a sliding form factor.

bbtThe BlackBerry Torch 9800 offers the user a full physical keyboard and touch-screen. The highly awaited BlackBerry 6 operating system also makes its debut on the BlackBerry Torch 9800, steering in the next generation of messaging and multimedia on BlackBerry.

The handset features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display with 480 x 360 resolution, full, slide-out QWERTY keyboard with an optical trackpad. The phone is bundled with a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with video and scenes.  The phone also features Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n with an internal memory of 512MB which can be extended to 4GB microSD card.

RIM unveils New BlackBerry Smartphone
