MTN BlackBerry Bold 9780 now in South Africa

MTN has launched BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphone on its network in South Africa.
The BlackBerry Bold 9780 features a keyboard and optical trackpad as well as the new BlackBerry 6 operating system. MTN will offer BlackBerry Bold 9780 in two colours-black and white.
The phone supports 3G networks around the world, as well as Wi-Fi and GPS, and comes with a 5 megapixel camera, 512 MB Flash memory and an expandable memory card slot which supports up to 32 GB of additional storage. The BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphone is now available from all MTN-branded stores, as well as Nashua Mobile and Altech Autopage Cellular countrywide.

Digicel to launch Blackberry Bold 9780 smartphone

Digicel will be launching the BlackBerry Bold 9780 in all of its 26 markets across the Caribbean and Central America by March 2011.

Vodafone UK to launch White BlackBerry Torch

Vodafone is planning to launch Blackberry’s latest handset on its network- The ‘White BlackBerry Torch’.
The device will be running on the BlackBerry 6 operating system, and features a 3.2-inch capacitive touch-screen with a resolution of 480 x 360 and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
The BlackBerry Torch white measures 4.37 x 2.44 x 0.57 inches, and is also equipped with a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, a 624MHz processor paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, a microSD slot supporting cards up to 32GB, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, GPS, and you will be able to enter the BlackBerry App World download store.

BlackBerry Bold 9780 available with Vodafone and Optus (Australia)

Vodafone and Optus are selling the BlackBerry Bold 9780 in Australia selling the mobile phone on plans starting at $59 per month.
Vodafone and Optus are expected to carry the BlackBerry Bold 9780 mobile phone, but the telcos are yet to announce final pricing and availability of the handset.
Research In Motion’s BlackBerry Bold 9780 is the first BlackBerry Bold smartphone to come with the new BlackBerry 6 operating system, promising new versions of the popular BlackBerry Messenger software among other tweaks and refinements to the BlackBerry phone user interface.
According to Adele Beachley, Managing Director for Australia at Research In Motion, the BlackBerry Bold 9780 melds business and social needs perfectly. The BlackBerry Bold series has always been very popular in Australia and so it’s great to be able to introduce the BlackBerry Bold 9780 with the new BlackBerry 6 operating system.
The BlackBerry Bold 9780 is available on Optus business plans starting at $59 per month, with Vodafone selling the BlackBerry Bold 9780 on business cap plans starting at $65 per month.

Vodafone Qatar launches new BlackBerry smartphone

Vodafone Qatar has launched the new BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphone on its network. The smartphone features a premium design with an easy-to-use keyboard and optical track-pad.
The BlackBerry Bold 9780 is equipped with advanced communications and multimedia features, and is also the first Bold smartphone to come with the new BlackBerry 6 operating system.
The handset supports 3G networks around the world, includes Wi-Fi with support for carrier supported Wi-Fi calling (UMA where available) and GPS for location-based applications and geo-tagging. It comes with a 5 mega-pixel camera, and a 512MB flash memory, with the option of expandable memory card slot up to 32GB.

Vodafone launches BlackBerry Torch in Malta

Vodafone Malta has officially announced the launch of BlackBerry Torch 9800, the first BlackBerry ever to feature a sliding form factor.
The BlackBerry Torch 9800 offers the user a full physical keyboard and touch-screen. The highly awaited BlackBerry 6 operating system also makes its debut on the BlackBerry Torch 9800, steering in the next generation of messaging and multimedia on BlackBerry.
The handset features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display with 480 x 360 resolution, full, slide-out QWERTY keyboard with an optical trackpad. The phone is bundled with a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with video and scenes. The phone also features Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n with an internal memory of 512MB which can be extended to 4GB microSD card.
According to Alexandre Froment Curtil, Head of Marketing at Vodafone Malta, the company was the first to launch the BlackBerry solution in Malta and they have a rich history of innovation and collaboration with Research in Motion. Their two companies that brought the first BlackBerry smartphones to the local market have teamed up again with the new BlackBerry Torch to provide users an enormously popular service with the latest technological advances.

RIM unveils New BlackBerry Smartphone

Research In Motion (RIM) has revealed its latest smartphone – the BlackBerry Bold 9780 – which is also the first BlackBerry Bold smartphone to come with the new BlackBerry 6 operating system.
According to Carlo Chiarello, Vice President, Product Management at Research In Motion, the company is very excited to introduce the BlackBerry Bold 9780 featuring the new BlackBerry 6 operating system. This new model builds on the highly refined mobile experience that BlackBerry Bold users already know and love and delivers a wide range of enhancements including a rich new user interface, a fast and powerful WebKit-based browser, broadly improved communications and multimedia capabilities, an incredibly useful Universal Search feature and a high quality 5MP camera.
The handset is equipped with a 5 MP camera with a continuous auto focus, scene modes, image stabilization, flash and video recording. It also includes 512 MB Flash memory and an expandable memory card slot that supports up to 32 GB of additional storage, expanded messaging capabilities, access to social networking and RSS feeds, and integrated access to BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and various instant messaging applications along with 3G and Wi-Fi.
The BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphone will be available from various mobile networks around the world beginning in November. Pricing are yet not announced.
