Brightpoint concludes C20 Mobile acquisition(SE Asia)
Brightpoint, a mobile handset distributor has completed its acquisition of the business and assets of smartphones, tablets, mobile devices and accessories distributor C20 Mobile and C20.
The acquisition was made by Brightpoint Singapore, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brightpoint. With the acquisition of C20, Brightpoint enhances its position as a mobile device distributor and supply chain services provider in the Singapore market and this provides a base to grow within South East Asia.
Haier Mobile appoints Brightpoint as its distributor
CRN-India writes…Haier Mobile has appointed Brightpoint, which deals in distribution of wireless devices and provides customized logistic services to the wireless industry, as its distributor in India. Haier Mobile entered the Indian market with the Touch Screen range of GSM mobiles in mid 2006.
Arun Khanna, vice chairman, Haier Telecom India said, “It is a strategic tie-up that will yield far reaching benefits and finally result in consumer delight. This partnership will increase our market penetration with more than 30,000 retails points and will help enhance the quality of our contact at every level.”

Brightpoint will provide a national footprint for Haier Mobile while catalyzing activation for the current product range and the upcoming Hi FM range of cost-effective handsets. Haier Mobile is currently launching its Z Series product line consisting of the Z 1000, Z2000 and Z 1700 handsets with enhanced FM capability and camera. The company says that these products will be offered at very competitive price points.
