David Moffatt is leaving Telstra
Telstra’s Group MD-Consumer Marketing, David Moffatt is to leave the company. Telstra claims he will remain in his position for six months or until a successor is found.
Moffatt started at Telstra as CFO and Group MD for Finance and Admin in 2001 and later became Group MD – Consumer Mktg in 2003.
He moved to his current position in October 2003, taking responsibility for Telstra’s mobile and fixed-line communications, broadband and entertainment services, and managing the Telstra Shop chain.
Moffatt was responsible for bringing GE Capital, into Australia and New Zealand as CEO. He later became CEO of GE’s Australian and New Zealand business.
Former E-Plus CEO to become CEO of ONE (Austria)
Former CEO of German mobile operator E-Plus and Austrian mobile operator tele.ring, Michael Krammer, has been appointed as CEO of Austrian mobile operator ONE. He succeeds Joergen Bang-Jensen, who leaves ONE now it has been sold to a consortium of private equity investor Mid Europa Partners and France Telecom. Krammer will lead the company as it will be re-branded into Orange Austria. Departing CEO Bang Jensen has said that the agreement to sell ONE to MEP/France Telecom is a good solution for the future of the mobile operator in an interview with Austrian press agency APA. He will leave the company on 1 October and could not comment on possible job cuts arising from the sale of ONE.
