Deutsche Telekom invests $75 million Indian mobile service provider, Devas Multimedia (India, Germany)
Deutsche Telekom, the largest European telecom firm, will be funding an Indian satellite based mobile service provider, Devas Multimedia. The funding will be of $75 million, which will be a 17% stake of Deutsche Telkom’s Asian arm, which is worth $443 million.
Devas is a new satellite-based, multimedia services company with Indian consumer market as focus. The company has planned to deliver its service via a hybrid satellite-terrestrial network to mobile devices in India.
