Verizon Wireless has launched it’s new mobile Web site for V Cast video content. The site named m.vcast.com, will allow it’s users to browse through mobile content by category channel, or show and then can view it on their phones. It will aslo enable the users to access and share content using socila networking sites. Access to the site will incur normal data charges, but needs a full HTML browser, which as of now is limited to the LG Dare or the LG Voyager, but it plans much more devices this year.

Verizon Wireless has cut down the prices of several models of RIMM BlackBerry and smartphones from LG and Samsung according to research by Morgan Keegan’s Tavis McCourt.It is asserted that verizon is likely to finance the discounts with additional subsidies. According to McCcourt, the price cut could be a trouble for Palm, with more choices in the sub-$100 tier for the Centro.
McCourt also notes that the cuts are “the latest in a long series of handset and smartphone promotions at carriers in the weeks surrounding the Apple iPhone 3G launch.”

    * Curve 8330: Now $99, down 33.6%, from $149.
    * Blackberry 8830: Now $149, down 25.1%, from $199.
    * LG enV: Now $79, down 20.2%, from $99.
    * LG Voyager: Now $99, down 33.6%, from $149.
    * Samsung Glyde: Now $79, down 47%, from $149.
