100 jobs go at T-Mobile UK’s financial team (UK)
T-Mobile UK, takes it’s cost cutting initiative further and slashes it’s finance team by a third. A department of 300 team members saw a job cut of 100 workers, which will be outsourced.
The job cut has been described as ‘transactional’ and ‘process-oriented’, and will be outsourced to an unknown third party. The discussion over the job cut has been confirmed but no details related to the outsourcing are revealed.
A spokesman said “T-Mobile UK is considering ways to improve the efficiency of its finance operations. The UK mobile market is the most competitive in Europe and this is just one more initiative that T-Mobile is undertaking to become more efficient.” T-Mobile also plans to roll out new schemes for cost saving which won’t involve any job cuts.
