Taiwan Mobile intends to buy 20% stake in Fitel for NT$500Mn

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Taiwan Mobile, the Taiwanese mobile operator, intends to take a controlling stake in First International Telecom Corp., or Fitel, which operates the Personal Handyphone System mobile phone network.
Taiwan Mobile is likely to pay NT$500 million for a 20% stake in unprofitable Fitel, which is seeking NT$2.1 billion from several Taiwanese, Chinese and Japanese telecommunications operators.
Taiwan Mobile will then raise its stake by buying shares from other shareholders.
