MTN launches new ‘Free beyond 3 Campaign’ (Ghana)
Mobile operator MTN Ghana has launched a new promotion titled ‘Free Beyond 3 Campaign’ in an attempt to reward its prepaid customer base for their loyalty towards the operator. According to a company statement, the promotion will reward existing prepaid customers by providing them with free talk time after every three minutes of call, made to other MTN numbers.
The statement claims that in order to access Free Beyond 3, MTN customers may subscribe by either calling 315, sending a free text message to 315 or by dialing *315#.
Rahul De, Chief Marketing Officer, MTN Ghana said that the Free Beyond 3 campaign is to reward MTN subscribers for their continuous loyalty to MTN over the years. He added that MTN will continue exciting and rewarding its cherished subscribers with meaningful unique value add offers such as this, and assured customers of more exciting customer experience on the network.
The statement added that the company will still empower their subscribers to enjoy full authority over their choices including BB Social, Complete and Absolute; regarding the data bundles introduced for Blackberry users.
BSNL promotes 2G, 3G activation (India)
Indian communications firm BSNL is promoting its 2G and 3G mobile services.
New prepaid activate users will get a 100% talk time bonus for all 2G and 3G mobile services.
Moreover, free data usage is increased from 50 MB to 200 MB for 2G mobile customers and from 200 MB to 500 MB for 3G mobile customers.
New postpaid customers will get a 50% discount on their fixed monthly charges as well as other freebies such as free talk time, free SMS, and free video calls. The promotion runs until 31 March.
BSNL comes up with attractive new services
The chief general manager, Bihar Telecom Circle, R K Agrawal announced this here before the newsmen on the occasion of BSNL’s sixth anniversary. He said cell broadcast services can be utilised to provide vital information to CellOne users about any disaster, disaster management measures or any other important information.
The location-based services include fleet management to enable subscribers to know the whereabouts of their vehicles, friends and information relating to whereabouts of users, traffic alert service, city sightseeing, emergency service, public safety, navigation, information regarding weather etc.
“The BSNL had recently introduced a voice-based value added service named 12555 Voice Activated IVRS (Intermediate Voice Response System) for its landline and mobile phone customers. For availing this service, the subscriber has to simply dial 12555 and record in his voice about his need to download ring tones, music, cricket update, news and other facilities,” Agarwal said.
The other newly-launched service christened 126300 Celibrum IVRS is a content value added service on mobile phone. For availing this service, the subscribers should dial on his mobile phone 126300 and he will be guided how to download horoscope, ring tones, quiz, music, jokes, matrimonial, cricket update, rasoi briefs, juke box, news…… “and a lot more”, he said.
The BSNL has introduced reduced call charges of 50 paise per minute on any two numbers of BSNL’s Fixed/WLL/Cell, out of which one landline is mandatory, for mobile phone subscribers availing the Excel Anant (life time plan) facility on their Excel mobile phones. This service started from October 1 with the Excel Anant customers also getting additional free talk-time worth Rs 100 with their SIM having talk-time worth Rs 99.
Agrawal said the newly-introduced DotSoft billing system in the state provides integrated billing with commercial package which include accounting, billing, commercial, directory enquiry and fault repair service. DotSoft is a step towards a paperless office with all the work being done online. This is a single window concept avoiding non-duplication of work, instant electronic flow of data between BSNL offices and field units and the intimation letters to the subscribers is automatically generated.
