13 interested in network expansion projects
Telegeography writes…13 companies have acquired the bidding rules for an auction to expand telecoms infrastructure in several Venezuelan states, reports BNamericas. The auction, held by telecoms regulator Conatel, is for contracts to deploy and maintain network infrastructure covering states including Zulia, T¡chira, M©rida and Trujillo as well as other areas in the north, south and east of the country, covering a population of around 10.3 million people. The companies are Omnivisi³n, Telcel, CVG Telecomunicaciones, Impsat, Net Uno, IFX Networks Venezuela, Comsat, Entel Venezuela, Digitel, Procesamiento Electr³nico de Datos, Global Crossing, Cable ‰xito and Cablexpress TV. Companies have until 14 January to present observations and ask for further explanation on the bidding conditions.
