Motorola to acquire Good Technology

Motorola will acquire privately held enterprise mobile computing software and service provider Good Technology for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition, which is subject to regulatory and other customary conditions, is expected to close in early 2007. With the acquisition, Motorola will extend its mobile computing capabilities and increase its enterprise client base. Motorola has an existing business relationship with Good Technology using Good mobile messaging technology on the Motorola Q. In October, Ron Garriques, head of Motorola’s mobile devices business told Le Figaro that the company is also interested in acquiring Sagem’s mobile phone business.
