Anatel reports a growth percentage of 21.5% (Brazil)

Brazilian mobile operators activated 26 million new lines between Jan-Nov-2008, crosses the mark of 21 million new subscribers in 2007. According to the recent statistics, Anatel has shown 21.5% growth in terms of subscribers in the first 11 months of 2008 in comparison to the same period in 2007.  The growth percentage is anticipated to increase for the full year. Out of 147.05 million active mobile lines, 119.5 million were prepaid at the end of November. In total, the number of subscribers are 2.257 million, up 1.56% from October.
