MIC invites proposals to create & promote hometown mobile services (Japan)

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: The Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has called for new proposals for the 2009 project to create and promote the hometown mobile service. This project is being carrying out since 2008. The project aims to create hometown mobile efforts by community-supporting MVNOs to provide services and the like that offer the elderly and children reassurance including medicine, nursing care, health, and safety through the utilisation of mobile phones. Delegated by MIC, every municipality will have to build a model hometown mobile project and services, such as planning, designing, and developing systems, continuing their operation and building the infrastructure needed for them.
