The company which already has established relationships with Sprint Nextel and MetroPCS, launched a new global roaming USB modem with Verizon Wireless. The vendor is further developing a handset based on Android OS for the Asian markets which it also intends to bring to the USA mobile market in collaboration with carriers, along with other high-end devices. ZTE, further, plans to be the first to offer LTE devices in the United States.

The first prototypes are currently being tested by Vodafone, and the e-reader will be able to offer books, magazines and newspapers. The electronic content will be transferred to the device using Vodafone’s network.

O2 UK reports iPhone 3G S out of stock

In a statement the operator says: “iPhone 3GS is currently out of stock: Due to the phenomenal demand for the new iPhone 3GS, we’ve temporarily run out of stock online, over the phone and in our retail stores.”
O2 anticipates additional stock for the handset to be available online, over the phone and in our retail stores by the end of this week.

The  price  of 8 GB iPhone3G will drop to 475 Euro.  The prices for the My for iPhone tariff plans  remain unchanged  and also have integrated  MMS since 17 June.

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: SFR, the French mobile operator which had started selling the Apple iPhone after France Telecom’s exclusive deal was suspended, has sold 160,000 iphones as of May 31, the company’s Chief Executive Frank Esser reportedly said. “We are in a very positive dynamic,” Esser said.
SFR had started vending the Apple device on April 8.
