BSNL Karnataka subscribers reaches the mark of 4mln (India)
Karnataka Circle of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has sign up four million subscribers from 1.8 million by the end of this finacial year. Expansion process of BSNL mobile network suffered a set back for two yeras due to cancellation of tenders for procurement of infrastructure equipments.
Recently the process is cleared and BSNL is ready to execute its plans. In quest of the set goal, operator has cleared out the network clogging. R. Mani, General Manager, Mobile Services said, Congestion is being cleared by increasing the handling capacity of each tower. In Bangalore, capacity of at least 60 towers out of 600 will be improved, he added.
Moreover, 8 new lines will be added in BSNL Karnataka Circle by erecting 800 towers in different parts of the State. It is anticipated that deal is going to be signed with ITI-Huawei consortium as order of purchase of 18 lakh lines has already been filed.
